Mildred was born April 29, 1922 in Wayne County to Fred and Adelia 'Suhr' Weitzenkamp. When she was young, the family moved to the Uehling area where she attended school. Mildred graduated from Uehling High School in 1939. Shortly after, she moved to Fremont where she worked at several different businesses. On April 8, 1944 Mildred married Donald Ruwe. The couple lived on a farm in Washington County near Telbasta, later they moved to Burt County. Mildred continued helping her husband on the farm until they retired and moved into Fremont in 1992.

Mildred was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont and was involved in many different activities.

Daughters - Janis and husband Gerald Stover of Hooper
Donna and husband David Clough of Lake Bluff, IL.

Sisters - Inez Young of Lincoln
Cora Hansen of Fremont
Brothers-in-law - Richard and wife Dee Ruwe of Thousand Oaks, CA.
Raymond and wife Loretta Ruwe of Fremont

Mildred was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 1 sister.

The funeral will be 11:00am Wednesday at Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont. The Revs. Michael Thomas and Delvin Hutton will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. A memorial fund will be established at a later date. Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel is Tuesday from 3pm to 8pm with the family receiving friends from 6pm to 8pm. Visitation will continue 1 hour before the service at the church.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
