Anna M. Pedersen, age 81, of rural Ames, Nebraska;
died Wednesday, September 24, 2014 in Fremont.
Anna was born July 5, 1933 in Sondrup, Denmark to Hans Jorgen and Marie Hansine (Mikkelsen) Rasmussen. She lived in Denmark until immigrating to the United States in 1953. She was married on December 12, 1953 to Vagn Jensen in Shenandoah, Iowa. They made their home in Platte Center, Nebraska. During her working years, she worked for Dale Electronics and Becton-Dickenson, both in Coumbus.
She had been involved with Center for Survivors and the Red Cross Board in Columbus, Oak Leaf Extension Club in Platte Center, the Red Hat group of the Ames area, and the Dodge County Election Board. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fremont.
Her husband Vagn, died in July of 1990. On June 15, 1991, Anna was married to Duane Pedersen in the Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church (northwest of Fremont). They made their home where Duane lived, northwest of Fremont.

In addition to her first husband Vagn, she was also preceded in death by her sister Agnes Juul and brother Siguid Rasmussen
The funeral service will be 10 AM Saturday (Sept. 27th) at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Matt. Knopf. The committal will be in the Bluffs Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Church's Building Fund and to the Bluffs Cemetery. Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary will be on Friday from 2 to 8 PM, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM.
