Dawn L. Simpson, age 45 of Arlington lost her courageous battle with breast cancer Saturday August 2nd.

She was a loving, caring woman who had a love for life, enjoying each day's gifts of family and friends. For Dawn, her greatest gifts and joys were her sons, Tyler and Dylan. To see what fine young men they are becoming is the testament to the fact that her boys were the center of her world.

She is also survived by her parents, John and Peggy Kupfer, sister Jennifer Parker (Tim), brother's Gregg (Cheryl), Jeff (Lori), nieces and nephews and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alyssa, who welcomed her mom into heaven with joy and loving hugs and kisses.

Funeral services will be Tuesday August 5th, 10:00 AM at Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont Nebraska with burial following at Memorial Cemetery. Luncheon will follow at the church. Visitation will be Monday August 4th from 3pm to 8 pm with family receiving visitors from 5pm to 8 pm at Ludvigsen's Mortuary in Fremont Nebraska.

Memorials suggest to family for her boy's educational fund.

"I am so sorry for the loss of dear Dawn. May you as the grieving family find comfort in knowing that you are invited by our Creator, Jehovah God, to "throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7; Psalm 83:18) He is said to be "close to the brokenhearted; he saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) Take care and please accept my sincerest condolences."

"Mine was a unique relationship with Dawn. My wife and I were the first to meet Peg when my parents were divorcing. Under the Mormon Bridge. Dawn and Jenny were 13 and 11, respectively. They moved into the house on Keene and Cheryl and I baby-sat the girls from time to time. We also watched as my father became her father. I remember telling my father just how lucky Dawn and Jenny must feel to have him as their father. Dad was always everyone's favorite uncle. Lot's of fun to be around. At 83 he will attempt to be the best grand-dad to Tyler and Dylan to see them enjoy what life has to offer. Mark re-finished our basement when he and Dawn were divorcing. They came down before that so Mark could fix our roof. There's just so much, but I have to let it go. Only my father has more history with Dawn, Jenny and Peg. I recruited Dawn to go to Midland. I know she enjoyed her success in the business world. All of this was happening as my younger brother, Pud, deteriorated. He and Dawn are now anxiously awaiting my father's entry into heaven. In due time. The Lord is still using dad's expertise to exact structure and goodness in his families before he is called Home. To Dawn, Jenny and Peg: Thank you for taking care of my father for the last 32 years. Respectfully-Gregg"
