at the Scribner Good Samaritan Center
Alice was born December 26, 1921 in rural Scribner to William and Frieda (Bentrup) Diedrichsen. She graduated from 8th grade in 1935 from District 24. Alice was baptized March 27, 1955 and confirmed April 3, 1955 at United Lutheran Church in Scribner. She was a life-long resident of Scribner working at Lamberty Variety Store for over 40 years and was voted Employee of the year in 1974. She enjoyed traveling, participating in many bus tours throughout the United States.
Alice moved into the Elkhorn Villa in 2007 and resided there until moving into the Good Samaritan Center in November of 2012.
Survivors:
Sisters-in-law – Rosalie Diedrichsen of Randolph, NE.
Lois Diedrichsen of Blair, NE.
7 nieces, 2 nephews, numerous great and great great nieces and nephews and one great great great niece.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Howard, Ralph, Ivan and Earl Diedrichsen and 2 sisters, Ella (Staver) Brockmoller and Linda Kurrelmeyer.
The funeral will be 10:30am Thursday May 22 at United Lutheran Church in Scribner. The Rev. Dr. Nicki McIntyre will officiate. Burial will follow in the Scribner Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3pm to 8pm with the family receiving friends from 5pm to 7pm at Ludvigsen Scribner Funeral Chapel in Scribner. Memorials are suggested to United Lutheran Church or the Scribner Good Samaritan Society.
