Adeline was born on January 24, 1923 in Scribner to William and Sophie (Kull) Schloemer. She grew up in the Scribner & Hooper area. On April 16, 1941, Adeline was married in the First Lutheran Church in Fremont to Roland P. Petersen.
Adeline and Roland lived on the Petersen homestead northwest of Fremont all their working years, later moving into Fremont due to their health.
She was a member of the Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church (northwest of Fremont) where she had been active in the choir, also serving as the choir director and a Sunday School teacher.
Adeline was preceded in death by her husband Roland in April of 2009, and by a brother Raymond Schloemer.
Survivors: son- Steven Petersen of Fremont
daughter - Barbara and husband Douglas Garling of Almena, Wisc.

The funeral service will be 10:30 AM Tuesday (May 1, 2012) in the Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Sean Tyler officiating. (The casket will not be open in the church). The committal will follow in the Bluffs Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Bluffs Cemetery and to Mosaic.
Visitation will be on Monday (April 30th) at the Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, from 2 to 8 PM, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM.
