William D "Willie" Thomsen was born in Dodge, Nebr. to Roy and Margaret (Schlueter) Thomsen. He married Ramona J (Hinds) Sept 1, 1948. He worked for Christensen Sand and Gravel, Hartford Sand and Gravel and retired from Lyman-Richey Sand and Gravel in 1998.
Survived by his children: Stephen of Fremont and Diane and husband James Hoyt of Lincoln; six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; and brother Ervin Thomsen and nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his wife and brother Donald Thomsen.
The graveside service will be Monday at 3pm in Ridge Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family for distribution.
