Lucille Podliska age 86
of Bellevue formerly of Fremont
died Saturday February 15, 2014
at her home in Bellevue.
Lucille was born to Oscar and Maude (Goodsel) Phinney on September 1, 1927 in Fremont, Nebraska. She grew up in Fremont and graduated from Fremont High School in 1945. She was married to Leonard Podliska, and following his discharge from the United States Air Force, the couple lived in various places due to his employment by the Northern Natural Gas Co. They had lived in Texas, Iowa, and Colorado, before settling in Bellevue, Nebraska.
Her husband, Leonard preceded her in death on January 30, 2012. A daughter, Kimberly, also preceded Lucille.
She is survived by a daughter, Christy Podliska of Bellevue.
The funeral service will be 2 PM Thursday (Febr. 20th) at the First Christian Church (11th & Nye Ave.) with the Rev. Greg Lugn. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 12 noon until the service at 2 PM. Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, is assisting the family.
