Ila was born August 21, 1921 in Fremont to Lloyd and Elsie (Forde) Bronson. She grew up in Fremont, graduating from Fremont High School in 1938.
She married Gerald V. Sievers on February 13, 1949 in Fremont where they lived all their married years. She was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post 265 Auxiliary of Colon.
Ila was preceded in death by her husband Gerald in May of 2003, by a son Donald, a brother George Bronson, and a sister Val Niece.
Survivors: 2 sons - Dennis and wife Sandy Sievers of Columbia, Missouri
Gene and wife Gloria Sievers of Lake Forest, Calif.
2 daughters - Sandra and husband Mel Solomon of Shelton, Nebr.
Janice and husband Larry Swanson of Cedar City, Utah
8 grandchildren
6 great grandchildren
The funeral service will be 10 AM Monday (May 7th) at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dan Heuer officiating. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, will be on Sunday from 2 to 7 PM, with the family receiving friends from 2 to 4 PM, and will continue Monday morning at the church for an hour before the service.
