William 'Pa' Moore, age 82, of Fremont;
passed away peacefully at Nye Legacy on Sunday, December 8, 2013.
Bill was born May 31, 1931 in Whitwell, Tennessee to Arthur and Christine (Owen) Moore. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1951. He married Mary Lou Lightwine, from Pisgah, Iowa, on January 12, 1953 and resided in Hampton, Virginia. After retiring from the Air Force in January of 1971, they settled in Fremont, Nebraska. He worked at Valmont Industries and the Fremont Parks Department.
He is survived by a son, Russ Moore of Fremont, daughters Peggy (and husband Robert) Wallsof Albuquerque, NM, Shawn (and husband Michael) O'Connor of Anchorage, AK, and Pam (and husband Merle) Goswick of Fremont, NE. Grandchildren are Kelli (and husband Lee) Goreham of Fremont, David (and wife Jamie) Walls of Albuquerque, NM, Dylan (and wife Jessica) Goswick of Omaha, NE, Kaleigh (and husband Tom) Petekavich of Omaha, NE, Kaitlyn Moore of Omaha, NE. His 5 great grandchildren are Layne, Harlei, and Brooklyn Goreham, Robert and Kenadee Walls. Sisters-in-law are Annette Vallier of Laramie, WY and Mildred Thompson of Rossville, GA. And many nieces and nephews survive also.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sister Louise Morrison, brothers Hobert Moore, JT Moore, James Moore, Harold Wiggens, Paul Thompson and an infant brother.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 10 AM in the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Visitation with the family will be on Friday, December 13th, from 5 to 8 PM at the mortuary. A private family committal will follow the service. Memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army.
