Lucy was born August 5, 1951 in North Platte, Nebraska to Joseph and Benita 'Luna' Soto. She lived in various communities growing up. Lucy married Dan Archer in May of 1971 and they lived in Fremont. She worked for Campbell Soup until it closed then she devoted her time to running her day care. Lucy enjoyed cooking and going to garage sales. She loved to spend time with her family at gatherings and holidays and spoiling her grandchildren. Lucy loved listening to music. Johnny Cash, Elvis, the Beatles and Cher were her favorite and she like to watch Rachel Ray on TV. For about the last 35 years she has been a resident of Winslow until moving to the Sunrise Country Manor in Milford.

children - Mike (Heather)Archer of Lincoln, Tisha (Shane) Essink of Oklahoma, Amy (Dan) Nolan of Crete, Rachael Archer of Winslow and Tina (Anthony) Kurzenberger of Fremont.
14 grandchildren – Devon, Xander and Natalie Archer; Savannah and Jasmine Essink; Colby, Riley and Lexie Walker; Jaxson and Alice Nolan; Kirklyn Hussey; Johnny, Wyatt and Morgan Kurzenberger
Brothers and sisters – Gabriel Soto, Lupe Soto, Feliciano Soto, Jenny (Anthony) Young and Josie (Tim) Tyson.
Lucy was preceded in death by her parents and husband Dan in April of 1996.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 3pm to 8pm with family receiving friends from 6pm to 8pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. The funeral service will be 10am Thursday also at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel. Graveside service will be 1:30pm at the Grand Island City Cemetery.
