David R. Hornischer, age 71, of Fremont,
died Monday (Sept. 30, 2013)
in the Fremont Area Medical Center.
David was born March 3, 1942 in Louise, Texas to John and Louise (Thomas) Hornischer. He was raised in Louise, Texas. Later he served in the United States Army from August of 1960 to July of 1963. Most of his working years were spent working for the state of Texas in Brownsville and Huntsville.
On June 25, 1980, David was married to Judith Parker Wilkey. They moved to Fremont in 2002 to be closer to Judith's family. Judith died in May of 2005. David was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors: step-daughter – Julie and husband Ray Bechtel of Cedar Bluffs
step-son – William and wife Yvette Wilkey of Oakland
sister – Norma and husband Nolan Garner of Channel View, Texas
brother – Ronnie and wife Janet Hornischer of Missouri City, Texas
13 grandchildren
15 great grandchildren
There will be a private family service. Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, is assisting the family.
