Ed was born April 15, 1929 in Red Oak, IA to Eddie and Ada 'Fike' England. He was raised and attended school there. In 1950 Ed married Joyce Harper and they lived in Las Animas, Colorado. Ed worked various jobs before beginning to work for the Las Animas Public Schools. 1996 they divorced and Ed moved back to Red Oak, IA. He has been a resident of Hooper for about 3 years.
