Robert L. 'Bob' Eilers was born on April 4, 1942 in the Humphrey, Nebraska area to John and Goldie 'Peterson' Eilers. Bob grew up in the Octavia, Nebraska area and attended Schuyler High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served from 1959 to 1963. Bob worked for ConAgra and retired from there after close to 40 years. On March 27, 1965 Bob married Donna DeBaets, they later divorced after 25 years. Bob was a member of American Legion Post 20 in Fremont.

2 Sisters – Pat and husband Gus Strauss of Lincoln

2 Brothers – Vernon and wife Marilyn Eilers of Schuyler
Roger and wife Betty Eilers of Grand Island
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister.
The funeral will be 1pm Thursday at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. The Rev. Scott Jensen will officiate. Burial will follow in the Schuyler Cemetery with United States Flag Presentation by American Legion Post 47. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3pm to 8pm with family receiving friends from 6:30pm to 8pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel.
