Doris Dorlene (Sager) Luther passed into glory February 7, 2013 in Fremont. She had entered hospice care and was surrounded by her loving family.

Dorlene was born to James William 'Bill' and Edith 'Larson' Sager on February 25, 1926 in Oakland, NE. She was raised in a loving Christian family.

She attended Oakland Public Schools and Oakland High School through her junior year. She moved with her family to Hooper in 1943 and she graduated from Hooper High School in 1944. Part of God's plan for her life was meeting her spouse of 67 years. Wayne and Dorlene were married September 12, 1945 and began a life long partnership in the Hooper area. Farming, managing the trucking business, community and church activities kept her busy, yet her real calling and joy came from loving her family.

Dorlene is survived by her spouse Wayne of Hooper, daughters Dr. Ann Luther of Omaha, Sue and husband Kenton Meier of Fremont and Joy Luther of Lincoln.

Grandchildren – Dr. Karen and husband Jonathan Rogers of Lynchburg, VA.; Kevin and wife Elizabeth Meier of Nashville, TN.; Kristen Fisher of Nashville, TN.;

"I am very sorry about Dorlene's passing. I am thankful for the opportunities to visit with her the past few years at the Hooper Care Center. Our families have many connections with Dorlene and my Mom being classmates, as well as Sue and my sister, Linda, being classmates. I know this is a difficult time, but I pray your faith in the promises of our Savior will be a comfort to you. God Bless you."
