Mildred was born April 4, 1924 at Spiker, Nebraska to James and Carrie 'Christiansen' Rasmussen. She was raised in the Spiker area until moving to Tekamah. Mildred lived in several different communities until settling in Beemer. Mildred was a retired Campbell's Soup employee.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands Ronald Modlin and Joseph Lupton, son Richard Modlin, 2 grandsons and a granddaughter.
The funeral will be 10:30am Wednesday at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Scott Jensen will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel will be Tuesday from 3pm to 8pm with the family receiving friends from 6pm to 8pm.
