Leona H.D.Jones

Leona was born December 15, 1927 near Richland, Nebraska to William and Clara 'Johannes' Grotelueschen. She was raised in the Schuyler and Columbus area and attended rural country schools. Leona grew up in the church being baptized and confirmed and was very faithful in her attendance. She married John Jones on July 9, 1946 in Papillion, NE. The couple moved to Fremont where Leona worked first as a maid, then at Babendure's produce company and finally at Campbell's Soup Company, retiring in 1985. Leona was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents 3 brothers (Edgar, Albert, Elmer) & 2 sisters (Ida & Elsie)

The funeral will be on Saturday December 15 at 10:00am in the chapel at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Dan Heuer will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Friday 3:00pm to 8:00pm with family receiving friends from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary chapel. Visitation will continue 1 hour before service at the church.
