Sandra was born on August 18, 1942 in West Point to Harvey and Verna 'Renner' Clatanoff. She graduated from high school in Pilger, and lived with her parents near Wisner where they farmed. Later, the family moved to Lexington where her father was office manager for the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service. Following his retirement the family moved to Fremont in 1984.
Mr. Clatanoff died in September of 1999. In 2004, Sandra moved with her mother Verna, to West Point, and her mother died in May of 2006. Sandra remained in West Point. While living in Fremont the family were members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, and after Sandra and her mother moved to West Point, they became member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church there.
Sandra is survived by her sister Frances and husband Larry Gress of Omaha.
The funeral service will be 1 PM Wednesday (May 7th) at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Rev. Kevin Cook of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of West Point will officiate. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Memorials are suggested to Lutheran Family Services.
Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont will be today (Tuesday - May 6th) from 2 to 8 PM, with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 PM.
