Larry was born to Orlie Edwin and Emily Ann 'Vidlak' Goracke on March 10, 1938 in Fremont. He has lived all his life in the Fremont area.
During his working years, Larry had worked for Plumfield Nursery, Lawrence Emanuel, Johnson Furniture, then owned Larry's carpet Service for 20 years, then worked for Petersen Body Shop, and Fibertech before retiring due to his health.
On February 23, 1960, he was married in the Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont to Bonita Kay Klevemann.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Orlie and Emily, mother-in-law Malinda Brandt, and a special brother-in-law Louis Bertelsen.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Friday (June 6th) in the Church of the Nazarene in Fremont (960 Johnson Rd) with the Rev. Tom Shaw officiating. The committal will be in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Church of the Nazarene and to the Fremont Area Medical Center Foundation. There is no visitation, however friends may sign the register on Thursday until 5 PM at the Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont.
