Dick was born August 29, 1947 on the farm in rural Petersburg to Bernard and Irene 'Reestman' Camp. The family soon moved into Petersburg where Dick attended St. John the Baptist Catholic School and graduated from Petersburg High School in 1965. After high school he worked briefly and then went into the Army, serving from 1966 until 1968. After the military Dick came back to Petersburg and was married to Maryln Daly on August 16, 1969.
Dick then went to college at South Dakota State University in Brookings and graduated from the College of Pharmacy in 1975. After graduating he worked for Penner Pharmacy in Beatrice and then in Norfolk for Sunset Drug. In 1981 the family moved to Scribner and Dick purchased the Scribner Pharmacy (formerly called Grosserode Pharmacy).
Dick was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Scribner, the Scribner Chamber of Commerce, the American Legion Post 121 of Scribner, the Nebraska Pharmacist Association, and the National Federation of Independent Business. Dick loved his family and loved to spend time with them. When not at work or with his family he enjoyed hunting pheasant, golfing & baseball (especially watching the St. Louis Cardinals). During Dick's younger years he played baseball for Petersburg and for Albion, as his services were in great demand.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents.
The Funeral Mass will be on Monday June 16 at 10:00am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Scribner. Father Vitalis Anyanike and Father John Hagemann will officiate. Graveside services will be at 3:00pm at St. John's Cemetery in Petersburg with Military Honors by American Legion Post 334 of Petersburg. A memorial will be established at a later time. Visitation at St. Lawrence Catholic Church will be on Sunday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm with family receiving friends from 6pm to 7pm. A public wake service will at 7:00pm., also at the church.
