"Grandma will always have a special place in my heart. She was a very caring woman. She would always ask about Paul's family and how my dad was "getting along". If I was in Fremont by myself, she would alway ask about the boys and Paul. I am thankful to be able to have enjoyed many years of memories with her. I too remember the squeal that we would be greeted with when we walked into her room! I am going to miss her but I know that she is having a great time in Heaven with my mom, Aunt Alice, grandpa, and all her family and friends that went before her. She is surely listening, hearing and telling many stories!! God Bless her!"

"Grandma Ruwe always had time for me and my brother and sister. She greeted us with a smile and a squeal. It was the same whether I was a youngster, a teen or grown man. I always remember her (an in no other way) with her snow white hair. Grandma was enduring and long lasting. I could sit and sit and listen to her talk of her memories of her childhood and the years on the farm east of Hooper. She was sincere in all that she said and did. I am grateful for the beautiful quilts she made for me and will treasure them forever. Homemade bread, sweet pickles, spaghetti & meatballs, and thin pancakes will forever be connected with Grandma Ruwe. Now Heaven has her squeal and is blessed with her presence just as we were all blessed for 98 years. Chad Ruwe"

"I will always remember going to Nye Court to visit Grandma. She was always so happy to see us! She would slap her thigh and squeal whenever we came into the room. She always had plenty of stories to tell! How the top part of her finger got cut off in the lawn mower accident, how she got to school every morning, and her life on the farm to name a few. I remember after her burial, everyone was so sad. But then my mom reminded me about the positive things. Grandma hadn't seen her two daughters or husband for many years. I'm sure she was excited to see them again! And when you enter heaven, your hearing is great again! No more achy hips or joints, no more bladder infections!!! Her life will be so great in heaven, and we will all see her again someday. I'm sure when she entered heaven, she squealed and slapped her thigh just how she did when she saw us come into the room. May she rest in peace and may we all remember the great times God has blessed us with."

"My Great-Grandmother was always kind. She would never hurt your feelings or make you sad. I remember when we went to Nebraska to go for her birthdays. Caroline and I would go get decorations and pick out candles. When it was time for the party we would go to the Cafeteria and get set up. Then we had a lot of cake and ice cream. during the burial everyone cried. I felt bad but remembered all the people she loved who were up in Heaven! When I grow up I want to be like my Great-Grandmother!"

"I learned to love flowers from my grandma. I learned to make homemade applesauce, pork chops with baked apples and spaghetti wiht meatballs. I learned to have devotions after supper. I learned how to graciously accept things we can't change. I learned to love, as she first loved me. Thank you Lord, for my grandma and the faith in you she modeled."

"She was a very good grandmother for me. The summers spent on the farm in Washington County are memories I have for a lifetime. I was blessed to be able to visit often and she always had a smile, a hug and a twinkle in her eye. I loved her spaghetti, "thin pancakes" and sweet pickles from the garden. "It doesn't get any better than that!". I will always remember the visits I had with her. My son Matthew was blessed to know her and know she loved him. God has blessed us with fond memories."

"Dean and Kelly, Our deepest sympathy to you at the loss of your dear mother. Whenever I met her in the hall at Nye Court, she always gave me a hug. The last time I was there, she asked how Dad was getting along at Arbor Manor. She always had a thought for others and such a zest for life. We are sorry we cannot be there to bring our condolences in person. Henrietta passed away on my birthday, and I'm sure there was a celebration in heaven when my dad welcomed her there. Two weeks ago Sunday we too were at Ludvigsen's for Dad's visitation and at First Lutheran for his funeral the next day. May they both rest in the eternal grace of God. Larry and Karen Hoier"
