"IYou were a special nephew to me. From the day you came to our family we loved you. I helped you learn to talk. You and your siblings Shari, Julie and Daniel spent many good times at our family celebrations and holidays. I was so happy when my brother, Roger adopted you and legally became your dad and you requested to take his name, Thomas Roger House. I was proud when you followed his example and joined the army. you were so proud of your service accomplishments. Your grandma Marge who went home to be with the Lord just a few days before you loved you and was proud of you too. On her death bed we sang her beloved hymns. When we sang the verse that says Jesus takes all your burdens away she said that reminds me of Tom when he was little and he went to church with me. Afterwards he asked why would Jesus take the "birds" away. We'll miss you, love"

"Tom: You lived through Iraq and didn't deserve to go this way. The other part of Toms Life: Tom came into my life at 21 months of age and lived with his mother and me until he emancipated himself from Oregon @ 17. I was fortunate to have adopted Tom at age 11 at which time he decided he wanted to be named Thomas Roger House. Toms' sister Shari Chavira lives in Albany, Oregon. Tom has two other Siblings: Sister Julie who lives on her farm in Albany Oregon. Brother Daniel who is in the Coast Guard (14 Years now), stationed in Baltimore, MD. Tom has one nephew in Annapolis MD, and two in Monterey Park, CA You will be missed son. Roger"

"Tom was a very close friend and co-worker. He will be missed by everyone at STS . It was great to get to know you and have all the fun we had. Tom always gave great advice about life. He always had a positive attitude and outlook on life! He will be missed!! We love u Tom."

"Tom and I were always very close when we were young. We were in the same grade in school and had several elementary classes together. We attended the same church and youth group. We shared the same pew with our Grandma Marge. My favorite memory is in the 2nd grade when Tom and I decided we were going to run away and get married. We stopped on our way out to ask our teacher, Mrs. Hostetler, if it would be ok. She explained to us that we were cousins and that it would be inappropriate for us to be married.
