Edith was born January 27, 1916 in Oakland, NE to Fred and Anna 'Bergstrom' Linden of Craig, NE. She lived on the family farms along with her siblings, Art, Evelyn, and Harold. After graduating from Uehling High School in 1934, she moved to Chicago to find work and to attend business school. While working in that area, she would take trips to Michigan where she met Ernest Mytty. They were married October 31, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas while Ernest was serving in the United States Army. Upon his discharge from the Army, they moved to Muskegon, Michigan. They had four children; Lynn, Guy, Alan, and Fred. After Ernest died in 1954, she moved her family to Fremont, Nebraska.

Edith was active in many charities and organizations. Among them were Trinity Lutheran Church, American Cancer Society, the Red Cross, May Museum, Dodge County Historical Society, the Auxiliaries of the Disabled American Veterans and the VFW, the Boy Scouts, and the Dodge County Democratic Party. She loved to travel and visit people. Her family and friends were very important to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Anna Linden, husband Ernest, son Guy, siblings Art Linden and Evelyn and husband David Greenwood, and sister-in-law Mary Linden.

The funeral service will be 11 AM Thursday (Sept. 25, 2008) in the Trinity Lutheran Church. The committal will be in Muskegon, Michigan in the Sunrise Memorials Gardens. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church and to the charity of the donor's choice.

Visitation will be at the Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont on Wednesday (Sept. 24th) from 2 to 8 PM, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM.
