David was born March 21, 1940 in Minot, ND, and grew up in that area. He graduated from Oklahoma University with a Ph.D. in mathematics in 1975. He married Norma Blume on December 27, 1965. David was employed with Valmont Industries and retired in 2006. He was a member of First Lutheran Church and was active in the choir and served the church in many different ways

Daughter - Leisha Moxness of Omaha
Sons - Jon and wife Diana Moxness of Scribner
Jason and wife Paige Moxness of Lenexa, KS.
Grandchildren - Laura, Ben, Ava and Aiden
Sister - Kay Moxness of Newport, OR.
Sisters-in-law - Irene and husband Marvin Hinrichs of Hildreth, NE
Vernietta and husband Steven Hansberger of Worthington, MN.
Brother-in-law - Lee Blume of Camdenton, MO.
nieces, nephews and other friends

David was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church in Fremont. The Rev. Charlie Axness will officiate. Closed Casket visitation will begin at noon at the church. Burial will follow at Bluffs Trinity Cemetery northwest of Fremont. Memorials are suggested to Lutheran World Relief.
