Marcie was born February 28, 1931 in Fremont to Marvin 'Dobby' and Virginia (Bailey) Sexton. She grew up in Nickerson, attending grade school there, then graduating from Fremont High School. She also attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln receiving education as a dental assistant. Then she was a dental assistant to Dr. Harold Hirsh in his Fremont practice.
On November 14, 1954, she was married to O. Dale Hansen. They made their home in Fremont where Dale and Ted Price founded P & H Electric.
Marcie was member of the First United Methodist Church where she had been a Sunday School teacher and was involved with the annual Tasting Luncheon, as well as with various other church activities. She had been a Cub Scout leader and active in the Clarmar School PTA. She enjoyed computer games and Nebraska sports, particularly girls volleyball. She had been a volunteer in the gift shop of the Fremont Area Medical Center. She especially enjoyed following her grandchildren's activities as home and family were most important to her.
Preceding her in death was her husband Dale in October of 2009, and her parents.

Rick and wife Debra Hansen
Kirk and wife Paula Hansen - all of Omaha
8 grandchildren

The funeral service will be 2 PM Thursday (August 16th) in the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Greg Hall officiating. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to her church. Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, will be on Wednesday from 2 to 7:30 PM, with the family present from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.
