Lydia was born November 27, 1914 at Scribner Nebraska to Otto and Louisa 'Dames' Baumann. She was baptized December 13, 1914 by Pastor Nierman and confirmed April 1, 1928 by Pastor Val Kern. Lydia was raised and educated in Scribner; she attended rural school District 25 and Trinity Parochial School. She lived in Scribner most of her life. Lydia was a homemaker and assisted her parents. Lydia was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and currently was a member of United Lutheran Church in Scribner. She has been a resident of the Scribner Good Samaritan Center since 1992.
Lydia married Francis Johnson on December 27, 1953 in rural Scribner. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1978. In addition to her husband Lydia was preceded by a daughter and son, three brothers and one sister.

The prayer service will be 2pm on Friday (April 24) in the chapel at the Scribner Good Samaritan Center. Burial will be in the Scribner Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Nicki McIntyre will officiate. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Cemetery and the Scribner Rescue Squad. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the Good Samaritan Center.
