"To the family, I was so sorry to hear about Alberta's passing. I lived on Dakota Street right across from Alberta and Herb, with my Dad Steve. I can remember crossing the street many times to visit Alberta. I can't remember if it was a piano or an organ, but Alberta would teach me to play. She would also talk to me about school because she knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I missed Alberta and Herb when they moved away and thought it was terrific when they moved back. I was away from home then but would always take that walk across the street when I visited home. Then I would help her with her dog, because I had a terrier too. It seemed that we always had something in common. Alberta was like a grandmother to me growing up. She was so kind to everyone. She will truly be missed. I will keep your family in my prayers.
