"What can I say about Dad but he is the greatest man I have ever known. He taught me more about life, nature, and god then any school could ever teach. He taught us that money isn't everything you just have to make do with what you got, and we did. We didn't have all the fancy toys that kids have now or then,we made our own fun like riding our calves because dad said we could not have a horse. We did alot of things to numerous to mention but that will always stand out in my mind the most. He also taught us the love of the land, going with him in the field on the tractor, riding in the wagon while he was combinding corn. He surely was the greatest dad a child could ever ask for. I will miss him greatly every day of my life."

"We are so sorry to hear of your loss. When I called my mother-in-law Marge Elsasser, to tell her of the funeral notice on the internet, she had many fond memories of Conrad when he would come to stay with her family as a young man. She said he was always one of her favorite cousins, and such a nice man. Many great memories I'm sure. Sometimes a bit of family tree info is needed when unknown cousins contact each other. Marge was the daughter of Paul Bliemeister, a brother to Conrad's dad. She married Gilbert Elsasser of West Point, and had three children. Linda, Ken, and Gary. I am married to Gary. Perhaps Tom Coe would recognize my name as I was once a Benner from Scribner. I believe he graduated with my brother Todd. We really appreciated his sympathy sentiments when Todd died in February.
