Celia was born October 25, 1916 in South Sioux City, NE to Ira and Lydia (Munhofen) Stevens. She grew up in South Sioux City, and graduated from high school there.

On May 14, 1938, Celia was married to Ervin G. Froid. They moved to Fremont in the early 1940's, and during most of her husband's working years, he had a farm implement business in Fremont. Celia was a wife, mother, and a homemaker.

She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Arbor Vitae Chapter 92 Order of Eastern Star and had served as the Worthy Matron in 1966. Celia was also a member of Sat-ra Temple No. 59 Daughters of the Nile of Omaha.

Survivors: daughter - Lynn Bohac of Elkhorn
2 granddaughters - Cori and husband Robert Quick of Omaha
Brooke and husband Shaun McAlpin of Omaha
5 great grandchildren - Arianna, Lauren, Carson, Ella, & Bowdy
brother - Sonny and wife Cathy Stevens of Omaha
sister - Betty Konegni of Milwaukee, Wisc.

Celia was preceded in death by her husband Ervin on Dec. 19, 1993, and by a sister Wilma Hoch.

The funeral service will be 10:30 AM Thursday (Dec. 17th, 2009) at Salem Lutheran Church, Fremont, with the Rev. Michael Thomas and the Rev. Delvin Hutton officiating. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Masonic-Eastern Star Home for Children in Fremont.

Visitation will be at the Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, today (Wednesday-Dec. 16th) from 3 to 8 PM with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 PM. At 7 PM, there will be an Eastern Star Ceremony, which is open to the public.
