"I had the good fortune to transfer to the Hormel plant in June of 1981 and work in the Storeroom with Wayne. I was new to the community and to the Storeroom and always appreciated how Wayne helped me learn the business of ordering and inventorying supplies as he had been in the department a long time. He was always very kind and helpful. I would see him occasionally in town after he retired and he was the same kind, cheerful man. I have thought of him often since he retired in 1984 and will always have a special place in my heart for him. Best wishes to his family."

"Jane/Julie, I was saddened to read of the passing of your father and please know I am thinking of you and your family. I remember meeting and visiting with Wayne and Leona a few times back in my Lincoln days. I can't begin to tell you how much I treasure those times, they were some of the best of my life. May God bless you all."

"Julie and Jane, So sorry about losing your sweet father. He was such a gentle and kind man. I think Dr. Eaton is the only one left in the "old" neighborhood on Gaeth Avenue. Your parents were great neighbors and they enjoyed lots of fellowship together. Thinking of you and your families. Libby (Lamme) Vance"
