Architect, Member of the American Institute of Architects, Nebraska Society of Architects, Phi Gamma Delta and Theta Nu Epsilon fraternities, Fremont Golf Club and Board Member of the Fremont Housing Authority.

World War II veteran, two Bronze Battle Stars, two Purple Heart medals for being wounded in action.

Survived by family including wife Nancy Lawlor Jenkins, Fremont, sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Carol Jenkins, Lincoln, Jeffrey and Lynn Jenkins, Lincoln, grandchildren, Jared, Danny, Abbie, Hanna, Nick and Scott Jenkins. He was preceded in death by parents and sister, Twila Fuhr.

Memorial service will be Friday, April 23, 2010, 11:30 a.m. at Ludvigsen Mortuary, 1249 E. 23rd St., Fremont, NE 68025. No visitation. Internment at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. Memorials to Dodge County Humane Society, 787 S. Luther Rd., Fremont, NE 68025 or charity of choice.
