Mary Ann was born June 27, 1927 in West Point, NE. to August and Elizabeth 'Butchen' Hartmann. She grew up in West Point and graduated from Guardian Angels High School. After high school she attended the College Of Saint Mary in Omaha and received her teaching certificate. Mary Ann taught school until she married Conrad Bliemeister on January 30, 1951.
After their marriage the couple farmed most of their life around the West Point area, until retiring into Hooper in 2000.
Mary Ann was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and its Guild of Hooper and the VFW Post 4912 Auxiliary of West Point.

Nancy and husband Greg Tomrdle of Hooper
Betty and husband Cal Tigges of Carroll, IA.
Son - Dan and wife Kelly of Cimarron, KS.
Son-in-law - Ron Schlickbernd of Dodge

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband in 2009, a daughter, a grandson, a great grandson and her sister Dorothy.
The Memorial Service will be Thursday at 10am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hooper. The Rev. Damien Wee will officiate. Memorials are suggested to Odyssey Hospice and the Hooper Care Center. There is no visitation. Private family committal will take place at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in West Point.
Ludvigsen's Hooper Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
