Michael was born Sept. 24, 1946 in Fremont and grew up in the Scribner area attending rural schools. His parents were Gilbert and Geraldine (Dunker) Mohr. Michael graduated from Scribner High School in 1964 where he played football, basketball, and also was in the band. He graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan College in Lincoln in 1968.
He served in the United States Navy from July of 1969 to June of 1973 as a medic. Following his military service, he farmed in the Scribner area.
Michael had been a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM Monday (Nov. 8, 2010) in the Scribner Cemetery with Pastor Larry Jirsak of the United Church of Christ Congregational officiating. The Scribner American Legion Post 121 will present the United States Flag. There is no public visitation.
Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
