Kent was born in Fremont on May 23, 1979 to Keith and Jayne (Schenzel) McCoy. He grew up in Fremont and graduated from Fremont Senior High School with the class of 1998. Kent worked for the Fremont school system for several years in the custodial department. The last several years he worked for Jason Indra in the lawn care/snow removal business.
He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. An avid sports fan, he followed NASCAR closely.

The funeral service will be 10 AM Friday (Dec. 10, 2010) at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel, Fremont, with the Rev. Michael Thomas officiating. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, will be today (Thursday-Dec. 9th) from 3 to 8 PM.
