Bruce was born April 9, 1950 in Plainview, Nebraska to Abner and Doris (Pease) Stubben. He grew up in Niobrara, Nebraska and was a 1968 graduate of the Niobrara High School. He then attended Hastings College.
His working career has been in sales, most recently for Lincoln Tool and Design of Lincoln, Nebraska.
Bruce has been a Fremont resident since 1985, having moved here from Grand Island.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He had coached girls softball and basketball for many years. Bruce enjoyed hunting and he was a golfer.
On August 28, 1971, Bruce was married to Sharon Akins.

The funeral service will be Wednesday (Dec. 29th) at 10:30 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church (16th & Luther Rd) with the Rev. Dan Heuer officiating. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church.
Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary will be on Tuesday (Dec. 28th) from 2 to 8 PM, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM.
