Cindy S. Sandeen, age 69, of Fremont
Died Monday, February 23, 2026 at home.
Cindy was born January 3, 1957 in at the Dodge County Hospital in Fremont to Leland and Bernitta 'Feye' Sandeen. As she grew up she played softball with the Merchantettes and Lumberjills in Fremont, winning many trophies. She graduated from Buena Vista High School in Colorado on May 27, 1975. She worked at Sumac Lodge in Buena Vista Colorado and at Lee's Service in Fremont for many years. Cindy belonged to Salem Lutheran Church and was involved in the WOW circle and other activities in the church.
Survivors:
Mother – Bernitta Wheelock of Fremont
Brothers – Leroy (Diane) Sandeen, Jeffrey (Teresa) Sandeen and Ronnie (Shelly) Sandeen all of Fremont
Special Sister – Paula Pratt of Westminster, CO.
Step-sister – Vanessa (Richard) Fisher of Fremont
Step-brothers – Randy Wheelock and Steve Dye of Fremont
Nieces and nephews
Cindy was preceded in death by her father and step-mother Leland and Bonnie Sandeen, step-father Leo Wheelock, 2 step-sisters Chris and Sue Wheelock, 2 step-brothers Terry Wheelock and Randy Dye.
The funeral will be 1:00pm, Monday, March 2, 2026 at Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont, burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel with the family present from 2pm to 4pm. Memorials are suggested to Salem Lutheran Church.
