Doug was born April 24, 1951 to Marion and Dorothy (Ptacnik) Lipinski in Burwell, NE. He attended school in Sargent, and then graduated from high school in Kearney, Nebraska in 1969.

In 1972 he went to work for Farmland Industries, now known as Land O' Lakes, and worked for them in maintenance until the present time.

Doug was known for his 'Doug Burger', having won an award for the best hamburger in Fremont. He also had won an award for the best hamburger at the Nebraska State Fair. He was an avid fisherman, loved the outdoors and gardening and canning. He also made jewelry.

On August 23, 1973, Doug was married to Deb Odle in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Fremont has been their home. Deb survives him, as does a sister Dorothy Ann Rawlins of Yutan, Nebraska, a brother Marion and wife Gloria Lipinski of North Platte, and many, many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Marion and Dorothy, and 2 sisters, Rosemary Molloy and Donna Maria Baker.

There will be visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont on Thursday (Febr. 10th) from 2 until 7 PM. Friends are also welcome to visit at Doug's home anytime on Thursday. No further services are scheduled. Memorials are suggested to the Dodge County Humane Society.
