Kathleen H. Gutschow, age 93, formerly of Fremont
Died Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Autumn Point in Ft. Calhoun
Kathleen was born March 4, 1932 in Fremont to Peter and Christina 'Christensen' Nelson. She was raised north of Fremont on the hill. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1950 and then received her teaching certificate a short time later. She taught briefly at Rosedale Country School north of Fremont until she married Leo Gottsch and moved to Long Beach, California. Kathleen returned to Fremont and married Richard Tracy. They later divorced and she married Chris Gutschow. She has lived most of her life in Fremont being a devoted wife, mother and homemaker who dedicated her life to her family. Her warmth and loving spirit were the foundation of her home. Kathleen was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fremont until her health prevented her from attending.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband Chris in 2013, step-son Chris Gutschow Jr., grandson Michael Grassmeyer, 3 brothers Russell, Shurley, Perry and sister Priscilla.
Closed casket visitation will be Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 9am until 11am at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials can be directed to the Family.
