Twila Lou Lindstadt, age 94, of Hooper
Died Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at her home.
Twila Lou was born January 10, 1931 in Hooper, Nebraska to Ernest and Edna 'Morton' Lindstadt. She was raised in Hooper and graduated from Hooper High School in 1948. She then attended business school in Omaha, majoring in accounting. After graduating from business college, she went to work at the Hooper Telephone Company where she stayed for eleven years. In 1962 she went to work at the First National Bank of Hooper, where she worked for 35+ years, retiring on December 31, 1997.
Twila Lou enjoyed walking, reading, fishing, gardening and mowing the lawn. More important than that, she is a fanatic Cornhusker football fan! Her favorite vacation spot was California, but she did go to Washington D.C. several times and also took numerous shorter trips to state parks like the Black Hills. She had many rewarding experiences in her life. She absolutely adored her father and took great pride in being able to take care of him in his later years. She was also a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) helping to see that foster children are properly taken care of and not abused in any way.
Survivors include her brother Jackie (Carol) Lindstadt of Santa Rosa, California as well as other family and very close friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers Vernon and Donald.
A memorial service will be 2pm, Monday, August 4, 2025 at Ludvigsen's Hooper Funeral Chapel. Visitation with friends will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Hooper Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family.
