Volline M. Von Seggern, 99 of Fremont, formerly of Omaha, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont, Nebraska.

Volline was born September 2, 1925, in Scribner, to Emil and Edna (Thernes) Kienbaum. She grew up in Scribner and graduated from Scribner High School. On December 6, 1944, she married Orville Von Seggern at United Lutheran Church in Scribner. They moved from the quiet family farm to the fast-paced city of Omaha in 1973, where they lived for 43 years until they moved to Fremont in 2016.

In the early years of their marriage, Volline was a homemaker caring for her family of four children. She ventured into the workforce with her first job at the Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont. After moving to Omaha, she worked at Blue Cross/Blue Shield and later, she worked in different fabric stores. But her true love was being public relations for the Orville Von Seggern Orchestra where she travelled the world with Orville on various bus tours and cruises.

Volline enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren attending school activities and dance recitals and other family functions. She LOVED sewing making many of her own clothes and matching pajamas for the grandchildren.
She was active in her church, Rejoice Lutheran. She sang in the choir and was a member of the ladies' sewing group.

She and Orville moved to the Nye Community in Fremont in June of 2016. Volline enjoyed playing Bingo, dominoes, cards, and doing various crafts.

Survivors include: sisters Nola Schulenberg of Oregon and Nita Holmes of Omaha, brother Nile Kienbaum of Snyder and sister-in-law, Lorna (Duane) of Fremont; son David (Donna) of Uehling, NE, and daughter Connie (Duane) Wegner of Two Harbors, Minnesota, and daughter-in-law, Connie (Nolan) of West Point. She was a devoted grandmother to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Orville, son Nolan, daughter Carol and son-in-law Dale Suhr, granddaughter Beth, brother Neil Kienbaum, sisters Roxanne Mead and Valetta (Marvin) Klahn, as well as many sisters and brothers in law.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 19 at St. John's Lutheran Church Cuming County Line at 10:30 a.m. with lunch to follow at the Uehling Auditorium. Visitation will be at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont, Friday July 18 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. with family present from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Burial will be at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to family for later designation. Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont is handling arrangements.
