LeRoy A. Kriete, age 88, of Hooper
Died Friday, July 4, 2025 at Esprit Whispering Ridge in Omaha
LeRoy was born April 12, 1937 on the family farm near Hooper to Albert and Selma (Krohn) Kriete. He was raised on the farm and attended Immanuel Lutheran School. He then farmed with his brothers until recently. He married Gloria Bain on February 21, 1965 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont.
LeRoy was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church east of Winslow, and had served as an Elder and Trustee of the church. He was also a member of the Lutheran Laymen's League. LeRoy loved his rat terrier dogs, playing pitch and everything farming. He liked to go to auctions and farm sales and would visit with anyone that loved farming.

Grandchildren – Nathan Kriete and Alexis Goodrich, Josh Kriete, Ella Kirk, Jamie Schkade and Molly Schkade
Great-grandson – Wade Goodrich
Sister – Bernice Thernes of Fremont
Brothers – John (Donna) Kriete and Paul (Cory) Kriete, both of Hooper
Step-sister – Loretta (Darrell) Legband of Arizona
Step-sister-in-law – Vera Kuss of Omaha

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws Gerald and Rebecca Bain, step-father Howard Kuss, brothers-in-law Ken Thernes and Bob Bain, step-brother Ron Kuss and many old friends.
The funeral will be 10am, Friday, July 11, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Church east of Winslow. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, 4pm to 8pm with the family present 6pm to 8pm at Ludvigsen's Hooper Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Lutheran Hour and Mission Central.
