Charlotte Blanche Westermann, age 81, of Arlington, NE passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Dunklau Gardens, Fremont, NE.
Charlotte was born in Denver, CO, June 5, 1943, to Victor and Gladys (Childers) Beavers. She was raised in Colorado and Minnesota before moving to Fremont during grade school. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1961. On April 6, 1962, she married Delvin Westermann at First United Methodist Church in Fremont. After their marriage they farmed northeast of Arlington where she was a homemaker and later worked for Tourek Quilting and JcPenny's.
She was always willing to help anyone, enjoyed collecting antiques and was her granddaughter's #1 fan. She loved cheering them on at their sporting events, Cornhusker volleyball, Kansas City Chiefs and going out to eat. But, most of all she loved spending time with her family and her close friends "the girls."
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Delvin; son, Keith of Arlington, NE; daughter, Amy Ortmeier of Omaha, NE; sisters-in-law, Illene of Arlington, NE; Carol (Ron) of Omaha, NE. She has two granddaughters, Sophie and Ellie Ortmeier; many nieces and nephews, extended family and a multitude of dear friends who are like family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister Beth, father & mother-in-law Elmer & Clara Westermann, and brother-in-law Dyral Dunklau.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 15th from 3 to 8pm with the family present from 5 to 7pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 16th at St. Paul's Lutheran Church north of Arlington, with the Pastors Rick Kanoy and Jason Duley officiating. Interment will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorials have been established to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
