Douglas H. Wagner, age 84, of Omaha
Died Monday, April 07, 2025 at his home.

Douglas was born June 12, 1940 in Pender, Nebraska to Otto and Eloise 'Stewart' Wagner. He graduated from Thurston High School as Salutatorian. He then served in the United States Air Force, spending time in Berlin as a translator, before being discharged in 1962. Douglas received his Bachelor and Master Degrees from UNL then his Doctorate from Fordham University. He served the Omaha Tribe in the 1970's then worked for the Lancaster Drug Project in Lincoln. He also served as the director of the Equilibria Methadone Clinic and in the 90's served as the Director of the Nebraska Aids Project. Finally he spent time as a therapist, counselor and adjunct professor.

He is survived by his children Craig, Blake, Brian and Natalie; grandchildren Mason, Jackson, Zeke and Haven. He is also survived by his brother Rich and sister Nancy. Douglas was preceded in death by his parent, brother Jim and infant sister Karol Ann.
