Randy W. Egbers, age 71, of Rural Hooper
Died Saturday, March 15, 2025 at home

Randy was born December 1, 1953 in Oakland to Donald and Marcedes 'Klebe' Egbers. He was raised on the family farm in the Swaburg area and graduated from Logan View High School in 1972. He started farming with his dad and in 1975 he married Pam Osbahr. He took over the farm and changed over to organic farming in the early 1990's. While farming, he raised various animals including chickens, cattle, pigs, and buffalo. Randy loved to play horseshoes, bowling, and basketball. Spending time with the grandkids giving them rides on the tractors was one of his favorite things. Spreading the good news about Christ was one of his top priorities. Randy was a devoted follower of Christ. He attended Living Word of Fremont.

"Randy was a sincere and special gentleman. He enjoyed teasing his cousin Charles about the "spanking sticks" at every family birthday, his signature long beard, and scoring baskets vs much younger opponents! His buffalo, beef and other organic meat was delicious. A great loss to all of us, but also a great model of charity and belief."
