Judy Suzanne Ellis, age 83, of Fremont
passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Nye Legacy in Fremont.
Judy was born May 29, 1941 in Atlantic, Iowa to Robert and Minnie 'Winter' Wright. She graduated from Beatrice High School and attended Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln. Judy married Gary A. Wulf from Arlington and together raised two children, Julie and Scott, they later divorced. Judy had a long career working at Methodist Fremont Health, most recently as a cardiac ultrasound sonographer, retiring after 54 years.
Judy was a member of First Lutheran Church, VFW Post 854 Auxiliary both of Fremont and the DAV Auxiliary.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren in Austin and Kansas City as well as with her dogs, Jake and Snuffy. She also enjoyed reading, needle work, dining out with friends and volunteering weekly at her church.
Some of Judy's memorable highlights include: a Caribbean cruise with the family and two trips with her daughter and Lutheran Church group, one to Canada and the other to Mackinac Island.
Judy is survived by her daughter Julie (Mark) Brewster of Austin, TX; son Scott (Shelli) Wulf of Kansas City. She is also survived by her granddaughter Peyton Brewster. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Roberta, brother Eugene and grandson Ryan Brewster.
The celebration of Judy's life will be 10:30am, Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Memorial Cemetery.
