George L. Snyder, age 84 of Fremont Passed away in his home surrounded by family.
George was born December 6, 1940 at home in Fremont to Theodore and Clara 'Davis' Snyder. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1958, where he played baseball and ran track. He met the love of his life Sandra Henry when he was 16 and she was 14. They married July 9, 1960 at First Lutheran Church and were lifetime members. Their love blessed them with two daughters, Jayne and Shelley. They celebrated 60 years of marriage before Sandra passed away.
He worked many years at Hormel, mostly in Spam, which he also loved to eat. He enjoyed playing golf and never missed any of his children and grandchildren's sporting events and activities.
He is survived by daughters Jayne (Dennis) Zoucha, Shelley (Jeff) Grawe, grandchildren Jordan (Alicia) Zoucha, Lexie (Nick) Eker, Brayden (Maria) Zoucha, Austin Grawe and Alyssa Grawe, great grandchildren Henry, Carter, Beckett, AJ and Emma Eker, Coralyn and Brooks Zoucha. George is also survived by his sister Ruth Sturgeon.
George was loved by all who knew him and was grateful for all the loving care he received from his family and his home caregivers.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 10th, at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont, private burial will follow. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont.
