James W. Dannevik, age 73, of Scribner
Died Sunday January 5, 2025 at Methodist Fremont Health
James was born April 13, 1951 in Leavenworth, Kansas to George and Mabel 'Painter' Dannevik. He was raised in Leavenworth and graduated from High School there. After high school he went to North Central Kansas Technical College to become a heavy equipment operator. He worked for M & S grading as well as other companies. He was a member of IUOE Local #571 in Omaha.
James loved the Creighton Blue Jays and had been a season ticket holder for 20 years. He also loved the Kansas City Chiefs. The family moved to Scribner about 20 years ago, from South Omaha. In retirement James love to walk his dogs, and was an avid gardener/arborist planting many of the trees on their acreage.
James married Denise Paulsen in Sioux City, Iowa on January 27, 1978.

Sons – Michael (Amanda Potter) Dannevik of Scribner
Matthew (Ashley Santos) Dannevik of Dodge
5 grandchildren- Sherilee, Sunkist, Michael Jr, Maggie and Brooklynn
Brother – Richard (Pat) Dannevik of Corpus Christi, TX.
Nieces & Nephews– Michelle and Linda from Texas and dozens of nieces and nephews in the Sioux City, Winnebago,Ne area.
