James A. 'Jim' Sindelar, age 86, of Fremont
passed away February 24, 2024 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont.

Jim was born on January 24, 1938 in Primrose, Nebraska to Joseph and Barbara (Widhalm) Sindelar. He was raised and attended school in the Primrose, Platte Center and Leigh areas. One of thirteen children, Jim always spoke fondly of his siblings and of their many antics growing up. On February 26th, 1963 he married Nancy Hollendieck at Saint Peters Lutheran Church in Humphrey. He and Nancy were the parents of four children and married for over 60 years.

Jim served in the Nebraska Army National Guard from 1960 to 1966. Jim was an expert machinist and began his career at Peterson Machine and Supply in Fremont where he worked for over 20 years before starting his own business. He owned and operated J & N Machine for 29 years before his retirement in 2015. With his exceptional problem solving skills he could fix almost anything, and he took great pride in his work. His hobbies were few and his greatest joys in life were his family and working at his shop, conversing with his many friends and customers.
