Doris M. Muller, age 96, of Fremont, formerly of Scribner
died Tuesday January 30, 2024 at Methodist Fremont Health
Doris Magdalene Dahl was born February 5, 1927 in rural Scribner to Alex and Anna 'Boell' Dahl. She attended District 24 school and graduated from Scribner High School in 1944. She married Vernon Muller at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on November 17, 1946. Vernon passed away July 1, 1989. Doris was a homemaker and helped Vernon with farm work. She was a lifelong resident of Scribner, moving into Scribner in September 1979.
Doris was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church (north of Hooper) and served on the Altar Guild. Her hobbies were taking care of the lawn and flowers and also doing embroidery work. She enjoyed traveling and made trips abroad including Japan, Europe, Australia, Mexico, Hawaii and the Caribbean. She also loved going fishing in the summer with Vernon on their boat.

Daughter - Diane (Samuel) Berens of Colorado Springs, CO.
Grandchildren – Julie (Malachi) Newton of Hollywood, FL.

Ryan Shiell of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Hannah (Graham) Predeger of Anchorage, AK.
Great grandchildren – Quinn and Miles Predeger
Step great grandchildren – Kade and Kolby Newton
Special Niece – Nancy (Tom) Tesch of Wisconsin
Susan's partner – Steve Cooley of Florida
Doris was preceded in death by her husband Vernon, parents, daughter Susan Shiell, twin sister and husband Dolores (Elton) Schulz.
The funeral will be 10:30am, Friday, February 9, 2024 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church north of Hooper. The Rev. Judith Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Thursday, February 8 at Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel from 3pm to 7pm with the family present from 5pm to 7pm.
