Anna Marie Betzinger, age 86, of Elkhorn, formerly of Fremont
Died Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha
Anna Marie was born April 15, 1937 in Fremont to Reinold and Anna Sophia 'Hybl' Cech. She was raised in Fremont and graduated from Fremont High School. She married Paul August Betzinger on September 2, 1961 and he passed away August 9, 1996. Anna Marie worked at Nebraska Savings and Loan and for many years at Midland Lutheran College (now Midland University) in the Admissions Office.
Anna Marie enjoyed reading, puzzles, scrapbooking, making cards, flowers and birds. She also enjoyed embroidery, sewing, eating at different restaurants, but most of all she enjoyed her children and being involved in their lives.
Survivors:
Children – Dianne Betzinger, Elizabeth Payne, Beverly (John) Henderson, Robert, Mark and Bryan Betzinger
Grandchildren – Jamie, Zach, Chris, Nic and Nathan
Great Grandchildren – Ashley, Gavyn, Jaxton, Eva, Ronin, Sloane, Gabriel, Gentry, Gracelyn
Brother – David (Jan) Cech
Sisters – Janet Tank and Mary Lou (Lad) Lodl
The funeral will be 10:30am, Monday, January 29, 2024 at the Fremont Alliance Church, burial is in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Open Door Mission. Visitation with the family present will be Sunday at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont from 2pm to 5pm.
