JoLynn was born on October 19, 1974 to Betty Lou Woods and Joe Kotik Jr. She grew up in Fremont, Nebraska and graduated from Fremont High school, Class of 1994. She attended LA International University studying Business Management and Accounting.

She enjoyed arts, crafts, scrapbooking, fishing, and camping. She enjoyed her dog, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her Father Joe Kotik Jr., Stepmother Mary, Husband Jesse Vargas, Daughters, Savahnna, Skylar and stepdaughter Laura, a granddaughter Bailey and a step grandson Anthony, her sisters Terri Kotik, Tricia and Steve Henrichsen, Doreen and Chris Bennett and half sister Brandi and Dan Roscoe, and her Brother David Kotik and Theresa Acker, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Lou.

Visitation with family will be Monday from 10am to 12pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Graveside services will be held at 1pm at the Craig Cemetery in Craig, Nebraska.

"Jo was a really great friend of mine. She would help you out if you needed it if she could no matter what it was. She loved it when i would make this special meal for her. She loved it when I would bring my kids over. I will truely miss you my dear friend. May God let you find peace from all the pain that was caused from all the years. I love you Jo RIP :("
